The Final score is 92 for Philippines and 81 for Qatar. Philippines now in 3rd place with 5 wins and 3 loss in their group behind Iran with 6-2 record.

This victory of Philippines is a must because Japan defeat Iran as Japan now have 4-4 record and behind Philippines.

Philippines next game is against Kazakhstan in November 30, 2018.

FIBA World Cup ASIA Qualifier (Iran vs Philippines)

Iran made a big win over the Philippines. As Iran made an 8 points lead over team Gilas with the score of 81-73 win against the team Gilas Pilinas.

In spite of a great game and hassle play by Standhardinger, and making a 30 points. But it was not that good enough to take the win. Gilas outside shooters did not work that well. Most of their shots at the three point line in the 3rd and 4th quarter did not connect.

While on the other hand, Iran’s shoots very well and made a couples of three’s which blown their leads against Gilas by up to 12 points in the last quarter of the game.

It’s a big loss for the Team Philippines. Which hoping to come back from the  loss against Australian team on July 2018. But that is how a basketball game is all about, sometimes you loss and sometimes you win.

Team Philippines need a lot of things to do to come up with a good one. To compete with toughest teams in Asia particularly like Iran, China and Korea.
